Download OS X Lion, Yosemite, and Apple’s new “upgradeable” OS X software.

You won’t need to reinstall anything and your installation will work out of the box.
You can get a clean install of OS X from the Mac App Store for $20, and you can get an upgrade from the App Store if you upgrade to Yosemite or Lion.
The steps below should work with any OS X OS version.
The step by step process will also work with Lion and Yosemite, but they’re not supported yet.
Download and install the software, as detailed above.2.
Launch Mac OS X.3.
Click on the Applications menu.4.
Click the Utilities menu.5.
Choose your operating system from the list.7.
Choose Install from disk.8.
Once installed, the next step is to boot up the Mac OS.
The process will take about 20 seconds.9.
Once it’s booted up, you’ll notice the Mac operating system will be available.
This is the most basic step, and the most likely to crash the Mac.10.
The Mac OS appears to be up and running.11.
If you don’t want to re-install the OS X, just click the Start button, choose the option to Restart now, and it’ll reboot the Mac in about 5 minutes.
If that doesn’t work, the Mac will probably crash.12.
The next time you try to boot the Mac, it’ll tell you to install the OS from the disk.
You’re good to go.13.
You should be able to browse to your downloaded file by clicking the icon at the top of the screen.
You might need to do this multiple times to make sure you get the right version.14.
Once you’re done, you can restart your Mac.
The operating system should restart and you should be good to play again.
